Founded in 2012 to provide timely “edutainment” – education and entertainment – and informative Somali-based news, to inform appropriate social engagement towards a stable and prosperous Somalia community, Goobjoog FM has exponentially grown in terms of audience outreach and content. The station’s main office is in Mogadishu (Banadir, lower and upper Shabelle) with sub stations and bureaus in Galkaayo (Central Somalia), Adado (Central Somalia), Beledweyne (central Somalia) and Kismayo (Jubaland). The satellite transmission has further expanded its audience reach covering the whole of the East Africa and Asia region while the online livestream reaches Somali audience across the world. Goobjoog FM is driven by a cause for public service journalism as espoused by its slogan- Always loyal to the public.
